Grooming Pubic Hair - What Not to Do

It is possible to groom your pubic hair either with the help of razors, trimmers, waxing or with electrolysis. However it is important that you know how to shave pubic hair with care as the skin around the pubic area is very sensitive. So if the act of trimming pubic hair is not done right, you may end up with all types of skin problems like ingrown hair, blood spots, razor bumps and red and sore skin. So take a list of things not to be done when grooming pubic hair.

If you intend to shave pubic hair, don’t use a throwaway, man’s razor or switchblade. Instead, use a good quality female safety razor that is sharp as blunt blades increase the occurrence of skin irritations. When shaving, make it a point not to shave too close to the skin or even shave the same area twice. This is because you will only increase the risk of skin problems and ingrown hair this way.

It is not advisable to shave bare skin when shaving your pubic hair. This is because you will only get razor burns with it. And when shaving, don’t use men’s shaving cream or soap as a lubricant. Instead, liberally use a cream or gel specially meant for bikini hair removal.

If you have any inflamed or bleeding skin in the pubic area, don’t shave. This will only worsen the condition. You will also catch goose bumps through the razor or shaver if you shave when cold. So this means you should not shave when cold.

If you intend to wax to groom your pubic hair, don’t do it just before heading for the beach as your skin will be red and sore for a day after the waxing. Have a professional waxing job done the first time you do a bikini wax. However the Brazilian wax job should never be attempted at home and be done only in a professional spa or salon. Once all these mistakes are avoided, you will find that grooming pubic hair is not as painful as you thought.
